This was the ensign of Murphy, one of the foulest old gods of an ancient bad religion. His flag was so foul that it was dropkicked from the heavens to earth, where it remains but a minor threat.

There are those who believe that when the earth is fertile and fecund enough, the flag and Murphy will be restored to newfound glory. They call this coming judgment day the Day of the Green. Until then, the flag is lost to time, and has no effects on history.
